Every plan is built around your condition, your lifestyle, and what you're trying to get back to.
- ACTIVE REHABILITATION FOCUS
- TAILORED TO YOUR GOALS

REHABILITATION CHIROPRACTIC
What Is Rehabilitation Chiropractic?
Rehabilitation Chiropractic looks at the whole picture. It starts with a full musculoskeletal assessment, then brings in exercise therapy, therapeutic modalities, and hands-on care as needed, all working toward less pain, better movement, and stronger function.
Adjustments come into play when clinically appropriate, but they're not what this service is built around. Most of your time here goes toward active rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, and strategies that carry over once you leave, so progress keeps happening at home, too. Feeling better today isn't really the point. Getting stronger is. Moving with less effort. Getting back to the things you actually care about.
Common concerns we help with :
- Back and neck pain
- Shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries
- Hip and knee pain
- Sports and running injuries
- Muscle strains and ligament sprains
- Tennis and golfer's elbow
- Plantar fasciitis
- Return-to-activity and return-to-sport rehabilitation

How we work
Rehabilitation Chiropractic at Health Haven
You don't start a rehab plan from where you should be. You start from where you actually are. From there, we build toward your goals through assessment, exercise, hands-on care and education.
Movement & Functional Assessment
We begin by looking at how you move, and where things are breaking down. That assessment shapes the individualized rehabilitation exercises that follow.
Strength & Mobility Training
Lost strength and stiffness go hand in hand with injury. Strength and stability training, paired with mobility and flexibility work, helps rebuild the movement patterns that pain took away.
Therapeutic Modalities
Alongside the exercise work, we may bring in TENS/electrical stimulation, Cold Laser Therapy, soft tissue therapy or joint mobilization to support your recovery.
Hands-On Care When Appropriate
Adjustments have their place here too, when clinically appropriate. But they're not the main focus. Most visits center on active rehabilitation instead.
Education & Home Programs
You'll walk away with a home exercise program, plus lifestyle, recovery and (where appropriate) nutritional guidance. Education runs through all of it, so you understand how to manage your condition day to day.

HOW WE APPROACH RECOVERY
Active Recovery, Not Just Passive Treatment
Rehabilitation Chiropractic extends beyond what happens on the treatment table.
Exercise and Movement, Integrated Into Every Visit
Exercise and movement are important aspects of care for many musculoskeletal conditions. You will be actively engaged in your treatment through individualized exercises, movement strategies, and education that will help you improve strength, mobility, and function. Treatment may also include the use of therapeutic modalities such as TENS and Cold Laser Therapy to enhance your rehabilitation program as needed.
Tools You Can Use Beyond the Clinic
The aim is to give you tools you can continue using outside the clinic, not to make you dependent on treatment.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Is Rehabilitation Chiropractic Care Right for You?
Not all chiropractic care looks the same. Here, exercise therapy and progressive strengthening take the lead, along with functional movement and active injury rehabilitation. You'll also find TENS and Cold Laser Therapy in the mix, hands-on care when it's called for, home exercise programs, and education to help you manage things yourself.
Long-term function and injury prevention matter just as much as how you feel this week. Adjustments still have a place when clinically appropriate, but they're not the focus of every visit, which is what makes this approach a fit if you'd rather stay active in your own care.
Consider Rehabilitation Chiropractic If You :
- Are recovering from an injury
- Have pain that's interfering with work, exercise or everyday activities
- Want an exercise-based approach to treatment
- Want to improve strength, mobility and function
- Prefer a rehabilitation-focused style of chiropractic care
- Want exercises and strategies you can use between appointments
- Are working toward returning to sport, exercise, work or another activity
QUESTIONS WE HEAR EACH DAY
Common Rehabilitation Chiropractic questions people ask
What other conditions can Rehabilitation Chiropractic help with?
A lot more than sports injuries. Ankle and foot problems. Tendon issues. That nagging strain from repeating the same motion at work, day after day. Even posture-related pain that's built up slowly, over months. None of this requires being an athlete. Maybe you just want to garden without your back locking up, or get through a travel day without dreading the flight home.
What does a Rehabilitation Chiropractic appointment typically include?
It will vary depending on your need. One day it's individualized exercises and a functional movement check. Strength work, stability drills. Another day might lean on TENS, Cold Laser Therapy, soft tissue work, or joint mobilization. Whatever the plan calls for that week.
Are chiropractic adjustments part of Rehabilitation Chiropractic?
Sometimes, yes, if it makes sense for where you're at. But that's not really the point of this service. Most of your time goes into active rehab, exercise, and habits you can carry home with you.
How is Rehabilitation Chiropractic different from traditional chiropractic care?
Different starting points. Traditional care leans on hands-on treatment and adjustments first. This leans on exercise, progressive strengthening, and functional movement. Good fit if staying active in your own recovery matters to you.
What happens at my first Rehabilitation Chiropractic appointment?
We talk first. Symptoms, health history, how you move day to day, what you're hoping to get back to. That conversation shapes your plan. And the plan itself doesn't sit still, it shifts as your strength, mobility and confidence build.
How do I know which type of chiropractic care is right for me?
Depends what you're after. Some people want hands-on treatment, adjustments, the traditional route. Others would rather work through exercise and active recovery. Neither one beats the other, they're just different roads. Still unsure? Ask us, we'll help you sort it out.
