Unlocking Your Body's Potential

A holistic approach to musculoskeletal health.

Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. It's based on the premise that a body's structure, especially the spine, and its function are closely related and this relationship affects one's overall health and well-being. By adjusting the body's alignment, chiropractic care can offer relief from pain, improve mobility, enhance nerve communication, and promote self-healing. It's a pathway to better health without the need for invasive treatments or medications.

Focused on Relief and Wellness

Chiropractic has been around for over a century, yet myths abound. Its focus is on the integrity of your nervous system. It’s why so many enjoy the relief of spinal and non-spinal conditions.

The Science Behind Today’s Chiropractic

Your brain, spinal cord and all your nerves control every function of your body.

Your spine houses your spinal cord and provides space for the nerves to branch out from the spine and go to all areas of the body, providing conduction of information from the brain to the body and back to the brain.  Spinal bones (vertebrae) can misalign and interfere with the nervous system's function, slowing down or hindering full communication between the brain and the body.

Spinal bones may misalign due to regular daily activities, unbalanced movement due to stress or trauma, and other causes.  A misaligned spine may inhibit the flow of information through the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves) by stretching, rubbing or irritating nerve tissue.

Patients report pain, disfunction, lack of mobility, decreased strength, numbness or tingling or general discomfort in their body.  Chiropractors will closely examine and treat the area of complaint, and also check and treat your full spine to find all areas of misalignment, as not all misalignments cause symptoms.

The Chiropractic Adjustment

A thorough full spine examination locates areas of Spinal misalignment, muscle and other soft tissue problems and nervous system compromise. Then your chiropractor will know precisely where to adjust your spine.

Chiropractic adjustments are special. They require years of training and experience. Chiropractors know what it takes to move misaligned vertebrae back into place.

Thankfully, chiropractic adjustments generally feel great and patients return happily for the visits needed to retrain their spine.

There are many ways to adjust the spine and each of our chiropractors are trained in many different techniques so they can provide individualized care, using the best combination of treatment modalities for you.

Treatments

Each of our Chiropractors use a variety of Techniques to treat our patients. We like to cater our techniques to the individual patients’ needs, likes and dislikes. Some of our techniques include Diversified, Activator MethodsTM, Thompson Terminal Point, Koren Specific, ProAdjuster, Trigenics, ART and much more.

We also rely on several proven adjunctive procedures. These help speed healing and provide ongoing support to your spine:

  • Low Level Laser – We use the Theralase® patented cool laser therapy. It helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation. This accelerates healing of numerous nerve, muscle and joint conditions. Acute and chronic problems respond well to the laser. Especially arthritis in hands, wrists, knees and ankles.
  • Custom Foot Orthotics – We get ours locally from Orthogenic. They create a 100% foam, custom carved orthotic. We often recommend them when we see gait and postural issues. They simply slip unnoticed into your shoes.
