Homeopathy in St. Clair West

Chaitali sitting beside a deskThe term ‘Homeopathy’ comes from ‘homeos’ meaning similar and ‘pathos’ meaning suffering. Although it’s considered an alternative system of medicine, Homeopathy is recognized by WHO as one of the leading systems of medicine that is used globally. It is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world.

A Holistic Approach

A German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann discovered Homeopathy in the 19th century. This type of medicine has regained its importance over the last few decades due to its holistic approach. The basic principle of Homeopathy is that when you have a disease it is always a combination of your emotional, spiritual and physical being – the whole person, not just an organ of the body.

Homeopathy stimulates the body’s healing powers to bring about a balance between all these spheres of the individual and helps to correct that internal circuit in the body which is not firing correctly.

What Are the Remedies Made of?

Homeopathic remedies are super dilutions of naturally available substances (plants, minerals and some animal products). The unique manufacturing processes of Homeopathic remedies involve a minimum amount of source material to make thousands of doses making the processes sustainable and the system uniquely environment friendly.

The remedies may be dispensed in liquid form or in white sugar balls made from sugar of milk or sacrum lactose.

  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis

What to Expect

The first appointment

First, you would have a highly detailed consultation with Chaitali Shah, our Homeopathic Practitioner. She will get into details beyond the physical realm. Not only will she do a physical exam but also talk about your past history, emotions, habits, behaviors, and even your subconscious mind!

This first consultation takes 60-90 minutes and sometimes longer, depending on how much you wish to share with Chaitali.

At the end of this session, she will provide you with the appropriate remedies based on her analysis.

Follow-up visits

Typically Chaitali would like to follow up in 15 days to see the initial effects of the remedies that have been given to you.

If things are okay we would follow up once a month. If anything needs attention in between scheduled visits such as an acute situation arises, you can book an appointment with her for a quick acute consultation too.
