Chiropractor
Dr. Jordanna Clarfield-Henry, or Dr. J as her patients call her, is a 2005 graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She’s been in active practice ever since graduating with clinical honors.
I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. I have this passion for helping people with my hands. I want everyone I touch to get the best possible care. That way they can live life to the fullest.”
An Early Introduction to Chiropractic
Dr. Jordanna was born just around the corner from Health Haven and grew up here in mid-Toronto. She was introduced to chiropractic when she was 11 years old.
“My mom noticed that my hips were uneven.,” remembers Dr. J. “I was taken to my grandmother’s chiropractor who diagnosed me with scoliosis. I received chiropractic care all through my teenage years, and this kept my spine aligned and the scoliosis at bay.”
Dr Jordanna initially became interested in how the body works, moves and functions while studying the arts, dance and music throughout her childhood and teenage years. She developed a keen sense of aesthetics that can be seen in countless details throughout the practice. The calming effect is felt by everyone.
“Before university, I was encouraged to check out various alternative healthcare practitioners,” says Dr. J. “I noticed that chiropractors seemed to be the happiest. That convinced me to actively pursue chiropractic.”
Expanding into Other Disciplines
Dr. Jordanna is passionate about neurology and the whole body impact of chiropractic care. She is always learning something new by attending seminars and postgraduate programs to sharpen her skills. But her family comes first.
I’ve always dreamed of a multi-disciplinary practice of healers like ours. But I wanted to wait until my own children were older before launching my vision. Finally, the timing was right. And the rest, as they say, is history.”
Outside the Practice
When not in the practice, Dr. Jordanna can be found keeping up with her husband and two boys. They enjoy bike riding, ice skating, downhill skiing, horseback riding, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. And she is still involved in the arts.
“I love amateur adult theater. I volunteer at Unsung Heroes Productions every year. We put on a musical review and sing and dance our way to raising money for various charities.”

Chiropractor
“Sometimes I’m their last resort. So when many patients see me they are often a bit skeptical,” confesses Dr. Barb. “But when chiropractic is able to produce results, they often become one of my most loyal patients.”
With a chiropractic career spanning almost three decades, Dr. Barb has seen just about everything. She has helped 100-day old newborns to 100-year old seniors. Thousands feel better, function better and live better.
But she’s lucky to even be alive.
“After high school I was invited to join the Ice Capades as a professional skater. I toured for three years,” remembers Dr. Barb. “That came to end the day a harness malfunctioned and I fell 38 feet to the ice. Chiropractors helped put me back together again and that’s what inspired me to become one myself.”
Dr. Barb completed her undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. After completing her post-graduate studies at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College she immediately began private practice.
“I was able to build the practice of my dreams here in Toronto,” smiles Dr. Barb. “It was a joyful place where I got to see and help a wide variety of patients. And while my husband and I don’t have children ourselves, I do love helping young people. I like it when I can help catch spinal problems early and prevent some of the issues I see in my older patients.”
Finding Health Haven
After selling her former practice to a colleague, she discovered the opportunity at Health Haven. Living just a five-minute walk from the practice made it perfect. Now she is able to apply her experience and wisdom right here in her own neighborhood.
My approach to chiropractic has and is continuing to evolve. Starting out I relied entirely on traditional, hands-on adjusting. But I noticed limitations. So I pursued Activator Methods™. Later added another technique that also uses a handheld instrument. These days I often complement those approaches with a low-force tonal technique. It seems to help the other approaches work even better.”
These adjusting techniques equip Dr. Barb to address many types of physical issues. Since many emotional issues are stored in our bodies, these techniques often produce profound results.

“My goal is to help as many people as possible reach their full potential.”
Dr. David’s introduction to chiropractic care was witnessing its remarkable effects on his sister when she was involved in a serious car accident. Chiropractic was the only thing that helped her. Until then, Dr. David had never heard of the profession.
He was so intrigued by chiropractic that he met with his sister’s chiropractor to find out more. “I remember walking out of his office saying, ‘I have to do this.'”
Education & Experience
Dr. David graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) with his Doctor of Chiropractic. While at the college, his biggest aha moment was seeing an intern interact with a patient. “Seeing the in-depth interaction the intern had with the patient and the partnership created between the two was eye-opening.”
In addition to running his practice, he also taught courses at CMCC and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. David serves as an examiner for the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board.
In His Spare Time
Dr. David loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter. He enjoys vacationing (particularly going to Disney World), swimming and weight training. Dr. David also likes to spend time outdoors.
Going Above and Beyond
When patients meet Dr. David, they know he’s there to help them achieve their goals. Patients trust him and appreciate the time he takes to listen to them and give them the best patient-centered care possible.
“I’m passionate about chiropractic and value the trust patients have for me in providing them a level of care beyond their expectations.”

Early Influences
“Having my roots in India, I grew up learning about natural home remedies from my mother. I guess this subconsciously instilled the concepts of natural healing into me. From a very young age, I was fascinated by human anatomy and biology. Growing up I realised my calling was in medicine and when it was time for me to choose a career, I was naturally inclined to holistic sciences.” That’s what drew Chaitali to Homeopathy, a holistic, natural medicine system that helps heal the person and not just treat conditions.
My focus is chronic illnesses of all age groups and all conditions.”
For Chaitali, seeing patients experience healing that makes a difference in their life is the most fulfilling aspect of her job as a Homeopath.

These sessions will be all about you, however I would like to introduce myself first so you get a sense of what will be offered. I truly believe that the therapeutic effect and healing you receive during treatment are a reflection of the therapist’s own journey as well as yours. So let’s get on board and meet Nicolas!
After diving deep into the world of martial arts since I was a child, I was always drawn to its spiritual roots. A backpacker at heart, I travelled through several countries in order to connect with people and immerse myself in different cultures. This journey took me to India where I completed a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training course recognized by the Yoga Alliance to teach yoga in its holistic essence.
However, many years before leaving by myself to Terra Incognita, I was but a shy, overweight adolescent with a distorted view of my own body. It was through a deep understanding of my pains and needs that I decided to dedicate my youth to sports to overcome my weight problems.
This sparked within me a desire to devote my life to help lessen people’s suffering and led me to pursue a Masters degree in kinesiology, during which I deepened my understanding of the mechanics of the human body. Still in search for more, I went on to complete a Massage Therapy diploma in Thai Yoga Massage that taught me how to treat the body in a more fluid way.
Within my practice scope, I aim to merge science and spirituality, offering clients both a yogic and biomechanical approach.
I am currently undertaking a 5 year osteopathy program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.
In addition to Thai Yoga Massage Nico offers Advanced Massage Therapy

Nature equipped me with an ability to reach people at their core, nurture their essence and help them feel calm.
Years of meditation, joyful organic/vegetarian/sugar-free/gluten-free cooking, and integrating goals make it fluid for me to understand how our daily life practices can enhance the quality and impact of our lives.
My training in Thai Yoga Massage Therapy has offered me more ways to express the art of giving, after 15+ years of taking care of children, cleaning homes, and re-designing rooms into soothing spaces.
With this addition of bodywork and Ayurveda, I’ve created a fusion of elements into my practice with clients to serve my eternal purpose – to nurture and uplift.
I am currently licensed with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.

Stephen Puiia is a holistic practitioner from Prince Edward Island who specializes in yoga, athletic training, and Thai massage.
Stephen began working in 2005 as a high performance athletic trainer where he worked with internationally competitive and professional athletes from a variety of sporting backgrounds.
While working as an athletic trainer, Stephen was deeply impacted by the amount of pressure athletes were under to perform. He noticed that, for many, stress led to decreases in performance and quality of life. This inspired him to incorporate yoga, meditation, and Thai massage into his conditioning programs.
In his more than 15 years teaching yoga, Stephen has founded a registered yoga school, facilitated over 20,000 classes as well as offering retreats, teacher trainings, and consultation around Canada and Asia.
Through his work as a consultant, Stephen has contributed extensively to research and development of programs related to the mental and physical benefits of meditation as well as core conditioning for pelvic health.
Stephen has offered thai massage since 2013, and while he has specialized in working with athletes and yogis, he has significant experience treating a broad range of clients facing a variety of issues.
Outside of health and wellness, Stephen is a published author. In 2017, he published the novel Lucky Duck Cola through Solstice Publishing, and in 2020 published a philosophical pamphlet on meditation that was printed in Chinese and English and distributed in China by the media company, knowyourself.
